Manufacturing a Carbon Steel Blade is a serious engineering task which requires special tools and machinery, excellent craftsmanship and lots of experience. Carbon steel is extremely difficult to work with. But when finished, it is tough, highly wear resistant and has a high degree of edge retention. This hand grinder is extremely versatile allowing for grinds fine enough for Turkish Coffee up to grinds coarse enough for a French press. Unlike other wide range grind size hand grinders, the handle design and burr strength make for easy grinding even at fine settings.
