Introducing the Comandante® C60 Baracuda® in ‘NAUTILUS BLUE’. This rugged, durable finish replaces ‘Velvet Steel’ and perfectly compliments the heavy-duty nature of our C60. As with all C60 grinders, it comes with our GOLD CLIXaxle, a BLACK CRANK, and two POLYMER BEAN JARS (one clear and one pink with this model) as standard.

The COMANDANTE® C60 Baracuda® is a robust, heavy-duty, high-performance manual coffee grinder with the biggest and most advanced burr set design COMANDANTE® ever released.

COMANDANTE always wants to explore the limits and we were simply curious: how big a burr set could we fit into a familiar and manageable manual grinder format? In the end, the power of our BARACUDA® burr set pushed us to create a new grinder body.

COMANDANTE developed a unibody construction, milled and crafted out of a single block of steel, for absolute stability and maximum drivetrain efficiency.

Creating this unibody construction out of steel is particularly challenging, but we have pushed the boundaries of manufacturing techniques and quality, using processes normally reserved for high-performance motor parts. The result is a bold and clear-cut design that perfectly supports the function.

It’s a hefty 1-kilogram hand grinder, which power you can feel the moment you take it in your hands.

Thanks to BARACUDA®’s optimized burr geometry, we achieved a massive  2-3x higher bean thruput and yet a smooth grind experience that achieves a comfortable crank torque and a world-class particle size distribution. With it you can brew delicious coffee across the full range of brew methods, from coarse settings for filter coffee down to super-fine settings for espresso and cezve/ibrik.

The result is BARACUDA®, the biggest burr set design we’ve ever released. It rips through beans with incredible precision, grinding around 1 gram of coffee per second at filter coffee settings and simultaneously delivering outstanding flavour clarity, balance and sweetness. No matter what kind of coffee or brewing method you’re using, BARACUDA® is a true all-rounder.

Like all Comandante burrs, BARACUDA® is produced from our proprietary NITRO REX® steel — a masterpiece of material science and craftsmanship. Developed to offer exceptional corrosion resistance, hardness and wear resistance, it ensures a lifetime of world class grind performance.

A complex remelting process ensures a fine, homogeneous matrix structure and a silver-white surface that is not only aesthetically impressive, but also makes coatings superfluous. NITRO REX® remains as it was created: robust, durable and absolutely neutral in flavour.
